LYMPHEDEMA 

Lymphedema is characterized by chronic swelling in the arms or legs which over time, as the swelling increases, causes increased fibrosis and damage to the remaining lymphatics and surrounding tissue.

Our program combines multiple therapeutic techniques, designed to reduce the amount of swelling in the extremity, including:
  • Manual lymph drainage( MLD)
  • Vasoneumatic pumping
  • Instruction in self massage
  • Compression Bandaging
  • Patient instruction in self bandaging
  • Compression garment fitting
  • Continued skin care, wound prevention
  • Home exercise program.
